Social The path to end intersectionalism. Black people vs women vs gays

What about those currently on the bottom (no homo)? I hear misery loves company.

But does the love of more miserable people make them winners? I don't think so!

But yeah there is a certain pathological victory in tearing down those around you. I don't think it makes people better off though. It's disordered behaviour and does nothing to address your underlying issues IMO.

Right, it doesn't help their lives but it's difficult not to not covet your neighbors crap when the disparity is the result of the white supremacists patriarchy.

And the cannibalization of the left continues unabated, as anybody with a lick of sense could have predicted with laser beam accuracy.
Ha, fuck 'em all.

It's really tough to beat a liberal celeb woman in the intersectionality game. And if they do something wrong, all they gotta do is talk bad about Trump and white males.

Speaking about her past mistakes, Silverman recently told The Guardian, “All I can do is learn from it, be changed forever by it, and do what I can to make it right going forward.”

“Certainly stuff that I did 10 or 15 years ago, I cringe at now,” she continued, adding that she now sees the jokes “very differently.”

lol

I hate that. What a bullshit, cowardly response from Silverman. Gotta give props to Joan Rivers. She didn’t give a fuck right up to the very end.

That's terrible...

@nac386 , are you ok with this..., this disgusting trend of holding people accountable for shit they said years ago?

I think it depends on the situation. Not all these situations are comparable.

Two factors: How old was the person, and why do we care?

A 15 year old football player? Who cares what he said, he was just a kid. It’s not like his opinion matters in his position anyways, he’s just a football player.

A 60 year old politician? That’s entirely different. That person is not a child, and the opinion may affect people’s lives.

So it’s case by case. In general, I think young people need to learn that their online lives are public and they should be held accountable. That’s just personal responsibility. But it has to be kept in check so that it does not become a mob.

Comedy isn’t funny if nobody is offended.

Good on Cannon on calling them out, though it seems you don't know what intersectionality is.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Intersectionality

Also strange that you rail against all identity politics* so hard yet you have a Howard Zinn quote in your AV and your name has revolution in it.

*I'm not talking about the use of them by fake liberal politicians to protect themselves either, I'm talking about acknowledging that some folks face different challenges because of who they are, which is a statistically proven thing

In an attempt to defend Kevin Hart, who stepped down from hosting the Academy Awards following a backlash over his past homophobic comments, Nick Cannon has resurfaced old tweets from Amy Schumer, Sarah Silverman and Chelsea Handler that he says also used homophobic language.

“Interesting,” Cannon, 38, tweeted on Friday evening alongside an old tweet of Handler’s from 2010. “I wonder if there was any backlash here…”

In the message, she wrote, “This is what a f— bird likes like when he flexes,” including a photo that is no longer available.

I think the path to end intersectionalism, is to force these mentally challenged people, to define who exactly gets the gold medal in the victim Olympics.

Black folk, women are telling you that you have too much priviledge with women and gays. Women, black folk and gays are saying you have too much priviledge. Gays, women and black folk think you have too much priviledge.

The path to end intersectionalism, is to force them to actually define who gets the gold medal in the victim Olympics.

Who has the priviledge?

According to this story, it appears the MSM is telling black folk, they need to get to the back of the bus, so women can sit at the front.

Discuss..........
Can you define "intersectionalism" for us? You seem to be playing fast and loose with a term here. Intersectionality, as I understand it, is a framework for studying the complex factors in social hierarchies and more specifically (in this context) trying to make sense of how certain groups end up oppressed, and how that is perpetuated. You can't really "end" an analytical approach. What is this "-ism" you're declaring?

That's like saying it's not the secret police that produce fascist ideology it's just that fascist dictators are able to grow their power and crush dissent thanks to the secret police.

No. It's actually nothing like that at all.

I'll repeat the question. You claim that the hyper PC witch-hunts infecting our society today was caused by capitalism. So are the people who perpetuate these PC witch-hunt capitalists, and is their behavior intended to advance the cause of capitalism?

And if your argument is that PC witch-hunts are a byproduct of capitalism, you must mean that such witch-hunts are therefor not a byproduct of other economic models?

Solid counter argument.

In the US we are all "capitalists" by definition as we must participate in the capitalist system, according to its rules, in order to sustain ourselves physically and provide materially for our families. And we all "advance" the cause of capitalism to the extent that we do this. So these questions are nonsensical.

If you want a person-by-person breakdown of all Americans and what books they are reading or ways in which they may or may not wish the current economic system were different, I obviously cannot provide you with that information.

And if your argument is that PC witch-hunts are a byproduct of capitalism, you must mean that such witch-hunts are therefor not a byproduct of other economic models?

An economic model that places individual financial self-interest above collective social rights will result in the trampling of social rights in the service of profit seeking. That should be self evident.

If neither their current or future employment opportunities would be affected whether they apologized or not how many people would be apologizing for moral or philosophical attitudes expressed in a FB post?

The carrot and the stick driving the current wave of "enlightenment" is very obvious to anyone with eyes.

You are having a rough time putting a coherent argument together. Do you understand the difference between correlation and causation? I'm afraid that is a serious question, and I'd like an answer, please.

I've attempted to infer your point from the existential stream of conscious thought posted above, so my apologies in advance if I have misunderstood.

Is it your contention that because the United States is a (somewhat) capitalist country, that any and all social behavior is a direct result of capitalism?

And if this is your contention, is it also your belief that the idea of PC witch-hunts, so-called "social justice", intersectionality, and the rest of the nonsense spouted by left-wing kooks is also a result of capitalism?

Next, do you believe that these same ideologies do not, have not, and will never exist in non-capitalist countries?

And now for the reverse. Rampant poverty, income inequality, persecution of enemies of the state, starvation, and so on (found in countries like North Korea, Venezuela, Cuba, and China pre-Deng Xiaoping) frequently accompany socialist/communist states. Are those side effects of that ideology? Do those outcomes correlate with Communism, or are they caused by Communism?

These are serious questions, by the way. Not gotcha questions. I don't think you've seriously thought them through, nor made an honest effort to do so. I hope you are able to prove otherwise.

but Trump saying "grab her by the pussy" a million years ago is the end of the world.

What a phony cunt. I don't know how these people can stomach being so fake.

Rivers was good but she had nothing on Don Rickles. What it is it about NYC raised Jews and insult comedy?
