If I buy a product on Amazon and it's shipped to at my home from a warehouse in my home state, is that "interstate commerce"? Goods never crossed state lines. From where does the federal government derive its power to regulate my purchase?

The Constitution says nothing of these matters. If We the People don't like it we can change the Constitution.

On the other point, I think you and I are talking about different matters, so I'm shedding the term "incorporation" for clarity.

Abstract from any particular amendment for a moment. If an arbitrary amendment contained language of the form "the right to X shall not be abridged", would you say that state governments have the legal authority to abridge right X? My guess is no, but I need to do more research.
 
I'm starting to like Ricky Gervais now. He doesn't give a fuck. I totally agree with this too and have said it for a long time. An animal's intelligence is based on how much they obey human commands. That isn't intelligence.

Not that I necessarily believe in those positions but I am glad there is someone there going against the crowd. Not a bitch like Maher, Oliver, etc who need the crowd backing them all times. Jimmy Kimmel is probably the worst. So weak and pandering. Disgusting. Gervais does not abide. He is different than those frauds. They are on a leash.

I wonder if this stuff pumps him up. It pumps me up. Debates and going off on people arouse me and I channel my full libido into them. He likes being the bad guy. It makes him feel good. It is empowering. To have so many people hate you. lol. Just makes him stronger.

Re interstate commerce, you're right and debate to the contrary is just silly. Whether you're an originalist, textualist, or living constitutionalist it's undeniable that internet commerce is the exact embodiment of the purpose of the commerce clause. Even for intrastate commercial activity, the clause is triggered by use of interstate channels (I think that's the right term).

Taking a technologically rigid stance on the 2nd Amendment is less daft, but not entirely dissimilar: while you may well maintain that the effectualization of the 2nd Amendment was to protect rights to long-obsolete weaponry, the governmental thrust of the amendment cannot be reasonably construed to terminate protection upon technological advancement/obsolescence of firearms. If you want to limit the 2nd Amendment's breadth, extension of the purpose of the negative right would be more prudent, i.e. drawing the line at the modern functional equivalents.
