What made you respect him now?

After he left I realized how his star power carried the league into a global sport. Right after he retired for good I was traveling overseas in a poor country and played some hoops with some locals. Had a 12 year old kid do a turnaround fade away jump shot he yells out Michael yesssssss. Just like the sports caster.
