Of course they did. They did withhold information and recordings, and we subsequently found out it was probably because of the embarrassing police response of having 50 hints dropped on them that they couldn't figure out and just strolling up to the front door and staring at them.

The information we did get was the recording from the guy who couldn't take the hint, and said the mega rich party boy with a recent DUI had a "friend" who over at 3am while his wife was out of town, and they answered the door together in their underwear and didn't attack him until they'd already had a conversation with police, and the next info wasn't that it was James Bond using glass cutters and barrel rolling through trip wires, but a drug addled nudist from a hippie commune who smashed a window with a stick and just walked in. The information they released to cover for their embarrassing response absolutely made it sound like the guy was invited over.
