Braveheart ruined Robert the Bruce for me

I thought it was pretty good, I don't know why it was getting slammed in reviews were people mad there were no black characters?

I looked at the wiki for this film. It claimed outlaw king received negative criticism for not having prominent women characters in it.

So I watched it last night.

It's not bad but they definitely aspire to be the spiritual sequel to braveheart, and on that front, I think they failed.

Like I said, not bad, but all the awesomeness of braveheart was turned down 2 notches for this.

And it's not fair to compare it to one of the best movies ever, but you won't be able to help it. They have many "nods" to braveheart in this movie.
