Did sherdog.com spoil ufc 75 for you?

Don't log onto a MMA site if you're waiting to see a MMA event that's on tape delay.. my how far stupidity goes.

i will agree wiv this dude right here---- What was so important on sherdog news page that u really had to see??

u spoiled it 4 urself -newb mistake

It didn't spoil it for me, because I learned my lesson from UFC 70, Sherdog always posts the results of taped delayed fights right up on the main page, so you just have to stay away from sherdog.com for a few hours on the day of the fights.

So the internet and sherdog don't totally revolve around America???

I watched it live online so I didn't have that problem, but there was plenty of warning in the coming days. You should know this was going to happen when there is a huge mma event and you are going to a mma site.

Sherdog didn't spoil it for me, but the judges certainly did

I love how a few hours before the fights last night, I decided to check out sherdog.com, where the main news story was rampage beating henderson. Needless to say, I was pissed for seeing this spoiler.

How many of you saw the spoiler?

Dont blame on Sherdog if you cant retain yourself from comin here minutes before a "non live on TV" event

It did for me! I think it's fuckin stupid how you can not post a "fight spoiling" thread in this section, but the have the results right on the front fuckin page of Sherdog! That's fuckin silly as hell.

I was smart enough to know that the internet basically means "information superhighway" and that internet sites related to "MMA" carry "information" that I may not have wanted to know before I saw it for myself.

Thus I was able to carry out the necessary precautions to avoid finding out such information before I wanted to.

In essence, you failed to keep a secret from yourself. That is not very pleasing to me at all.

well said

They SHOULD have a splash screen each time a major MMA event has been broadcasted to warn people, it'd be better that way.

Yes I myself avoided all MMA sites in general too but accidents to happen and I feel bad for the OP

I learned my lesson after their last event un England. I avoided Sherdog yesterday like it owed me money

you mean; like you owed them money

TS now you know when the fight is overseas and it's free...it's delayed and you should stay away from not just sherdog but all media...except Spike TV.

I go to the homepage once a month, so it wasn 't the news on the front page, it was all the posts in the forum.

Sure, mods were pulling them as fast as they could, and it was my fault. I simply thought the fights started two hours after they actually did.

It takes away a lot of the excitement when the outcome is predetermined.

You spoiled it for yourself, numbmuts...

QFT You should have known better. thats like going to espn .com and being mad because they had the superbowl winner on the front page.
Though i do feal for you when you know the outcome of an event before watching it takes some of the luster off. I was watching the Serra v GSP fight live and it was late and i was having trouble staying up right before the fight started i must have fallen asleep when i woke Serra was was pointing to the belt on his waist with that shocked look. I was so pissed i went back and watched it but still one of the most shocking upsets in mma history was ruined for me.

I logged on just after the 5th round, before the decision...

Not that it was much of a 'spoiler' at that point.. but yeah.. I think there's a point here. While I knew it was best to avoid any MMA site for this UFC, I think Sherdog should have enough respect to at least put a spoiler warning until the Spike broadcast was done.

I stayed away from the internet like it was the plague yesterday. Hell I didn't even read my txt messages that were coming from friends on the east coast.

With all that said I think it would be a good idea if sherdog main page doesn't show results unless you click on a link when there is a tape delayed even in the US.

How many of you fools are going to keep blaming Sherdog, when 1) you obviously know they will review the show as it happens, and 2) you can avoid the website you idiots

My wife was surfing porn so I wasnt able to get to Sherdog to cheat and see who won ...lol

time change people... obviously by the time it aired on spike it was over in Uk

I think it's completely f'n stupid that they have spoilers on the front page. How hard is it to just post "UFC 75 Results *SPOILERS*" in the headline like every fucking other website does so you can actually go to them to see if there's other news, but not have an entire event spoiled on the front page?!? Having said that and having known from similar previous discussions, I avoided Sherdog like the plague yesterday. All it did was cost them traffic because there was no way I was going to their main site or the message boards because I knew that it would ruin an entire show for me. I instead went to the sites that I know post spoiler after links and not in headlines. Just a terrible decision to do this by Sherdog, but I guess they have their lame ass reasons.
