While adequate as a matter of compulsion, it's not as a matter of moral virtue, and as that's the precise aim of these measures, it's hypocritical and unsatisfactory at the most basic level. Furthermore, in fact, unless they are in an at-will state, employers often do have to substantiate their terminations to a third party like labor boards in order to avoid lawsuits (such as those of discrimination). Your defense amounts to "it's none of your business; don't concern yourself with it" which I could then extend, logically, to all terminations and labor disputes.
That employer doesn't hire black people? Doesn't promote women? Is hostile to unions? Fired a bunch of libtards due to Facebook political posting? What's it to you? They don't owe you (or the public) any explanation, or evidence that they aren't discriminating.
