Why does America suck so much at weightlifting? The only medals we've won since 84 (when the Soviet nations boycotted) was in 2000, which was won by a female. No American male has won a medal since '76 (84 doesnt count because of the boycott).
America is mainly only good at their own made up sports that they like to think are globally popular yet in reality no other country even plays it and certainly doesn't give a fuck about it.
Have you ever noticed that every popular American sport is a series of stoppages and time outs and set plays and "A word from our sponsor" every five minutes, they are so monotonous they just drag on and on and on. If you ever suffer from a case of insomnia just try and watch a baseball game, they're painful to watch.
When Americans complain about "soccer" being low scoring what they fail to realize is that's the whole point as the game is always on a knife edge and its like watching high speed chess where a single mistake can loose you the game, not this lets see who can get to 50 points the quickest nonsense that Americans seem to be obsessed with.
except we clearly used to care a lot, and that interest was renewed by Crossfit. America wants a weightlifting medal really bad but it continues to elude us. Maybe we can only excel in shitty sports no one else participates in like NASCAR and baseball.Because we don't give a shit about the clean and jerk and the snatch? Powerlifting to Americans is squat, dead lift, and bench press.
We have the most empowered black people. And the most empowered white people.Look at all the top UFC guys in the present and also in the past. Most are American. It seems to be the same in boxing. Why is this?
It seems in general that USA produces better athletes in most sports. Is it because the US funds athletes more than other countries? I mean the only other country that really produces any good fighters is Brazil and it has come to light that most Brazilian fighters failed USADA testing.
Why is it that most other countries can’t really reach the standard of skills and toughness that USA fighters have? Will it ever change? It would be nice if other countries could produce fighters who could keep up with the American guys.
Even if it was. USA would most likely still be at the top of it. America dominates most other sports internationally. Look at the Olympics or baseball

If USA had more interest in soccer we would dominate. Its pretty safe to say that. Look at our college level athletes
Posting in these threads is quite a good way to to get rid of insecurities people have of their national indentity. Some people define their very being by embodying patriotism. Reassuring yourself that your country is the absolute best and your countrymen fierce and fearless makes you confident in your own abilities. Feeling that you are part of something mighty and unbeatable makes you feel and act superior, which is completely ok, as it is effective coping mechanism in the fight against all these alien cultures.Ya'll posting in a troll thread
Being athletic alone wont win you games. Soccer requires a lot of skill and no amount of strength, speed, power, endurance workouts is going to help them in that regard. South americans just have that natural skillset, flair and guile which are difficult attributes to master for americans.
been a while since I read some clueless white belt horse shitIf USA had more interest in soccer we would dominate. Its pretty safe to say that. Look at our college level athletes
