I thought they were over rated, but I enjoyed them. I get why they are tops on a lot of people's lists. I was referring more to X-Men Origins: Wolverine.

Only really like the X-Men movies focusing in on Wolverine. The others were ok, but not something I felt the urge to rewatch.

On my facebook feed is a lot of black people wearing traditional Africian garb to the showing of the Black Panther movie. These people are not from this culture and have never even visited Africa. Who knows if are even representing the culture they think they are. Should they be doing this? Why is this oK?

Being inspired is one thing, but being proud of a fictional universe is another. If anything it illustrate the hopelessness when this is the bright spot.

Pretty much Africa will be hoping for a long time. It might seem attainable but no one in those countries will see the type of society manifest in their lifetime. I guess a lot of people realize this anyway but whatever makes them a little bit happy for a short time. I find it funny that this hope comes from a commercial for-profit operation not actually doing anything for Africa.

I don't know about Black Pride.

But damn all those white people at Disney, Marvel, are loving those Box Office numbers.

Because it’s their heritage. You don’t have to have visited the country to be proud of it. They’re proud of who they are and where their roots come from. They’re celebrating. Also you don’t know how they were raised by their parents etc.

Movie was pretty good, and the poor black American character actually does create some sympathy. It is a rough environment to grow in. You can have poor people, but if they are hard working, not violent and loud, and kind enough to each other and others kids (or 2/3 of those) you get an area that is not a tragedy which doesn't need others lifting them to make it.
