Well, to his credit, I invested in amazon about 2 years ago at around the mid 200s... it is trading at 1450 today. Even if someone were to only have 10 shares, that is still 10k profit.

Pretty much all of my stocks have done well over the last 2-4 years, but nothing like amazon. I actually sold off 80% of my stocks last week, but I kept all of my AMZN

That's an especially stupid comment since his support changes over time. Maybe your partisanship blinded you to that simple fact. But yeah, he did lose the popular vote by 3 million and still won, which is possible in an electoral system.

The obvious explanation is there are people who voted for him but now think he's doing a bad job or people who didn't vote think he's doing a bad job.

Anyone who immediately goes to "stock options" means they don't make a good salary

I like you man, but the last part is definitely not true. When we sell my company I'll hopefully make many times my annual salary and if you look at high level executives at publicly traded companies most of their compensation is stock and incentive based.

I hear you, and that guy is probably not the Amazon CEO (lol) but it can be true that stock awards are a bigger part of a compensation package than salary. If the guy is a warehouse worker or something probably a different story.
