That was my thought exactly. I Like Glover, and have no problems awarding bb in the octagon when it seems deserved, like finishing someone with some slick bjj, but that just seemed gratuitous and unwarranted.

Lol no way. In a fight with literally zero grappling. They were going to give it to him anyway but I really wish they wouldn't do the promotion unless they got a super submission or something. Like if he had gone against a submission specialist and tapped him out. THAT could earn one but that almost never happens but they give belts anyway.
