Media Ilia makes the cover of Marca, biggest sports publication in Spain

Spanish legislation is super-lax with squatting. In some cities flat squatting is conducted as a extortion practice and by drug gangs to gain temporary basis to conduct bussines. I refuse to buy property in Spain and not very familiar as how these people act, but I think that, since they cannot legally kick the squatters, they agree with the condominum adminstrators to estabish "access controls" to harass them, but again I don't know much about it.
Thanks for the info. If it is established that the squatters are a gang or doing illegal activities, cant the police get involved?

I understand that there might be protections against kicking out a family that maybe is a few months late with rent, but the police cant do something about a known gang extorting an owner or selling drugs or whatever?

Topuria has the potential to become a mega star. Lets focus on him instead of Paddy

I guess that depends on your definition of "Mega Star". He has the potential to be a big name in the sport. IDK if hollywood, tabloids, and photo ops with royalty are in his future. He'll definitely be a big name in Spain for a while.

It's kind of a massive off-topic, so in order to not dig to deep into it, let sat that the wheels of justice turn slowly, the police is hampered by a multitude of issues, and apparetly there is a niche for that kind of companies.

These companies are fairly controversial and personally, I wouldn't accept a sponsorship by them, as an Image issue, (Especially in a case like Topuria, that is doesn't seem cash-strapped) but inferring that one is a "Neo-Nazi" by it... whatever.

The active distaste for the "progressive" establishment for combat sport is nothing new. Boxing in Spain was reduced to a shell of its former self in the 80's and 90's thanks to it. Some progressive local governments even banned paintball back in the day, because it promoted violence and war, and muh "Neo-nazis".

""Progressive" twitter accounts, linked to the Socialist Government apparatus are calling Illia "No-Nazi". The Education & Sport Ministry's twitter, that congratulates the last chump in a third tier competition, is mum."

Thanks for the link, I will have to dig in some more. But what the hell is "anti-squatter" companies? Like they go around kicking people out of empty houses or is it like an anti-homeless thing?
There's been an increasing problem with squatters in recent years and the police and legal system are seemingly very ineffective to solve it. Enter these thugs who prob haven't even read 20 pages of a book in between them all and have barely enough neurons to not be considered minerals and exploit the situation. They are not a solution, just some boneheads making the best of it for their own profit. To be associated with these guys is a very bad look for any respectable athlete (I bet you will NEVER see the likes of Nadal or Alonso touching this shit with a ten foot pole) and if Ilia doesn't cut ties he will regret it. Shit will blow up at any moment with these organizations and you don't want your name to be mentioned in the same lines as these human wastes. I'm also pretty sure that he doesn't share their ideology and it's mainly a business thing and he prob knows most of the guys from training and all that, but still...

Maybe if you were living under a rock. Literally everyone who follow mma in Spain knew him. It's the sport that is not followed. Nobody cares about ufc/mma they only want to follow stars. Most casuals only knew Conor and now follow Topuria. It's basically the same in every country.

im from spain, of course mma fans know him, im talking about normies

If I got this correctly : Georgian by ius sanguini, born in Germany but because of German laws regarding ius soli, he isn’t German (one of his parents would have had to be living there legally for at least 8 years for it to happen). The family went back to Georgia for a few years, before moving in Spain when Ilia was 15. You get Spanish citizenship after 10 years of residency there, so I assume he got the full citizenship a few years ago, unless he got it by some other way I’m not aware of.

(If your post was just a joke, then sorry)
Well, Topuria was complaining on a media scrum today cause he still had to enter the country in the airport through the foreigners gate since he still has not earned the nationality. So, he's still Georgian.

They could have easily had a cover with Real Madrid news, especially about Mbappé who is the best player in the world and is most likely signing with Madrid.
They can have one day without talking about bappe lol
