I really like the game but I would like it more if there was a lot more back story to it
 
So, would you fellow Overwatch fans agree that this is GOTY? Personally it's mine, no disrespect to other fantastic games this year but I got more time outta Overwatch than any other game.

Overwatch is definitely my game of the year, though I haven't been interested in checking out many other games. The light-heartedness and colourful nature were just what I needed after the grim piece of shit that was The Division as well as all the hours I've logged into Battlefield games in the past (which was great, for the most part). I certainly enjoy this more than BF1, which I hardly ever play. What keeps me coming back is the variety and balance of characters.
 
The current meta is really not fun for me. 9/10 games I'm up against 3 tanks + Ana and a 76. If i try to play my main McCree I have a 600hp dva mech on my dick the entire game. Fights are decided by who can land the first bio grenade or get the first roadhog hook. For an fps game, heroes that require the most aim seem to have taken a backseat to more brainless heroes.
 
Right now I'm playing mostly D.Va and Zenyatta. Also been practicing support tank with Zarya, but that requires a bit of team coordination that isn't always there in quick play.

In No Limit mode she's ridiculous, going up against a team with multiple Symmetra's is such a pain in the ass because the shield generators stack, so now you have a bunch of 600HP Symmetra's running around melting everyone. Her shield is on a shorter cooldown and has more HP than Winston's shield.

Finally started competitive mode this season, got fucked by Scumcast and got random 4 disconnects in my placement matches and I wasn't able to get back in time. Now starting out in Bronze or some shit, last season I was 70 points shy from Platinum.
 
I wish they would fix the defense characters so they don't suck so much, also fix Mercy so she's more useful besides her ultimate.

It not just tiers but alone defensive characters themselves are entirely situational even in defense. They're not good at killing as efficiently as offense even from a defense standpoint. All of them require babysitters, right map, or perfect team comps around them.

been playing some more mei, really fun to play. feels great when you can be smart with the wall placement to cut the other team in half. her ult is really good too and i like how she can counter the tanks with her freeze gun

Yep whenever I notice my team is having issues with a good tank (Diva especially) I either go may if possible or I ask someone else to do it. Her ability to keep points is also very very good. If you setup her wall and freeze just right you can hold it for so long.

Why do people always refer to tourney players and arbitrary tier list like that's the be all end all. None of that ever matters in pub play. The majority of regular everyday players don't know about the meta. Only defensive character that's situational is trobborjn. Everyone is viable. Mei and Junkrat are good on offense and defense. Even widowmaker and Hanzo(most ppl just suck wit them) Just cause some Asian pro doesn't play them doesn't mean they aren't viable. And the Mercy slander is idiotic
 
The balance in this game is atrocious right now. And ranked is still bad. How come they can't get this right and it's season 3?

The game is a fake ass fps. If you're looking for skill it's the wrong game.
 
Finally made it into Gold. Rose from 1300-1400 into 2000. Never thought I would make it honestly the teams I would get matched up with were just mind blowingly bad. I noticed picking Reinhardt all the time seemed to do the trick. To many players pick him and don't use his shield they just wait to charge someone because apparently getting a kill is more important then winning the game or keeping your team alive.

My current most annoying pet peeve is people picking all attack characters for defense or vice versa. Had one guy who I asked to switch from Pharah to Mei or Bastion for defense. We already had soldier we were good on attack characters. He stays Pharah and we do ok. Then on attack he tries to switch to fucking bastion. I was like WTF are you doing pick Pharah now it's ok to pick her. So he does and we win thankfully.

Yea three thanks seems to be the go to right now. Oh well it's still fun to me but yea I know what you mean.
 
I don't like the current meta either. I don't care about ranking though so I mostly play quick games or the new map. Lucky to get 2 tanks in quick games, let alone 3.
 
Picked up a digital copy yesterday since there was a Christmas sale on it. Will probably try it tomorrow. Checked the community and they are all bitching about the tank meta or whatever, but MOBA gamers love to bitch about things.

Cant wait to start wrecking noobs.

Any shertards sherbros playing on European servers ?
